Biography

Anne has more than 20 years’ professional translating experience.  After training in London, she worked as an in-house translator for two UK-based companies before migrating to Australia.  Since 1995 Anne has worked freelance and her practice is divided fairly evenly between her four languages (French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish).

Her area of specialisation is medical and scientific translation which now accounts for most of her work.   A Teaching Associate on the Monash University Translation Studies program since March 2011, Anne previously taught on the Grad. Dip. T&I at Deakin University (Spanish>English translation) and was a Research Assistant in the Centre for Research and Development in I&T at Deakin University.

  • B.A. Hons. Modern Languages, Polytechnic of Central London; Postgrad. Diploma in Technical and Specialised Translation, Polytechnic of Central London
  • NAATI accredited advanced translator French>English, Italian>English, Portuguese>English, Spanish>English.
