Dr Ashten Warfe

I lecture on the archaeology of Neolithic northeast Africa, the Egyptian Predynastic and Early Dynastic periods, and the Bronze Age cultures of the Mediterranean basin and Near East. I also hold a research position on a five-year ARC Discovery Project (DP150102033) awarded to Monash University (Administering Organisation). The project, titled Seth, God of Confusion: the Archaeology of a Cult Centre in Egypt explores concepts of social practice on a regional level within the state apparatus.
