Dr Barry Richardson

    Dr Barry Richardson has taught in Australia, Bermuda, Canada, Papua New Guinea and the UK and he joined Monash Gippsland in 1993 to teach mainly research methods and perception in the Department of Psychology. He was Academic Director of Psychology on the Gippsland Campus for three years during which time he and colleagues initiated a psychology programme in Singapore, and built a reputation for research in the area of tactile perception. He left Psychology in 2001 and helped establish the Bachelor of Cognitive Science (in which he now teaches), and the Bionics and Cognitive Science Centre (BCSC) within the School of Humanities, Communications, and Social Sciences. He is currently the Acting Director of the BCSC.
