Originally from Nancy in France, Benjamin completed his PhD in French literature at the University of Nottingham in the UK. He then joined Worcester College, Oxford, as a Junior Research Fellow, before being appointed Lecturer in French at Aberystwyth University in 2007. He arrived at Monash in September 2012.
