Erin I. Castellas

Erin is an early career researcher in the centre for Geography and Environmental Science, School of Social Sciences at Monash University. She recently completed her PhD at Monash University (under examination) in early 2016 in social entrepreneurship and hybrid value creation, where she explored how companies are able to create multiple forms of value, including social, environmental and financial value.

Erin is currently linking her research and academic interests to industry, consulting in the impact investing, social entrepreneurship and social/environmental finance sectors. She has her undergraduate degree in environmental science from the University of California, Berkeley and spent over 10 years in the private sector working at the intersection of finance, environment and community development before arriving in Australia to commence a PhD.
