    Fleur is interested in investigating the potential uses, applications and implications of a deconstructive approach to youth.  Her research interests therefore include:

    • post-structuralist theory
    • textual and discourse analysis
    • media culture
    • youth culture
    • questions of identity construction and representation

    Current research projects

    Fleur is currently researching youth in the context of new media focusing on issues of sexuality and self-formation and how the online environment challenges existing assumptions about the limits of the youth body, forms of identity and sexual practices.
