Genevieve Fahey


Genevieve tutors in the Masters of Interpreting and Translation Studies program in both interpreting and translation units in the French and Italian streams.

She is also the Project Officer for Short Courses for Monash University’s program of professional development short courses for interpreters and translators, supported by the Office of Multicultural Affairs and Citizenship. This involves co-ordinating and facilitating the courses which are held in metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Biographical information

A former graduate of the Master of Interpreting and Translation Studies program, Genevieve is a NAATI-accredited professional interpreter and translator in both the French-English and Italian-English language pairs. She has been practising in the community interpreting and translating sector for over three years, and also works on corporate and larger-scale projects and events. Her particular areas of interest within the T+I sector are health interpreting, mental health interpreting and creative and performing arts. Genevieve also recently gained NAATI Conference Interpreter accreditation.
