I completed my PhD on mid-Victorian children’s fantasy literature at Monash in 2009, and have published on subjects including Victorian fantasy literature and feminism, science fiction and power in language, and Jungian readings of Wilde’s fairy tales. My critical approach is particularly informed by post-structural theory and feminism. My interests in the environment and animal rights have also led me to research animal/human boundaries studies in Chaucer’s work.
I have taught in a variety of subjects at the Clayton and Caufield campuses of Monash, and teaching in the subject ‘Novel in to Film’ encouraged me to further pursue my interests in adaptation studies.
My current research is being conducted in representations of the law in literature and film.
