Karen Kartomi Thomas interviews Harry Aveling reading poems by Indonesian poet, Sutardji

Harry Aveling Reads Indonesian Poems by Sutardji, reading and commentary by Professor of Indonesian literature Harry Aveling, Monash University, with Dr Karen Kartomi Thomas.

This is one of a series of interviews on Performance and the Arts of Indonesia’s Riau Islands, including conversations with Australian and International scholars presenting their research at the Second International Symposium on the Riau Islands (11-14 January 2015) in the Monash Performing Arts Academy with the theme, “Sound, Body, Movement, Drama and Hierarchy in the Malay World.”
