• Mia completed her BA at Monash in 1998 majoring in History and English, and did her BA(Hon) in History in 1999 . In 2000-2001 she completed a Master of Arts specialising in Public History.

    Mia worked as a Coursework and Policy Officer in the Faculty of Arts administrative area for 5 years from 2001 until 2006.

    Mia completed an interdisciplinary PhD at Monash in the fields of Historical studies and Film and Television studies,  graduating in 2011.

    For over a decade Mia has lectured and tutored in a variety of units, including ‘Australian history on film and television’, ‘Nations at War’, ‘Fears and Fantasies: Deviance in History’, ‘Alternative Film and Video’ and guest lecturing in other cultural history units.

    Since 2010 Mia has been a member of the Diploma of Tertiary Studies pathway. She is currently a Lecturer in the two core units, and has been the Campus Academic Coordinator for Berwick DoTS since 2011.
