Professor Emeritus Peter Kershaw’s research interests include the reconstruction and explanation of past variation in vegetation, climate, biomass burning etc. from pollen and associated analyses of lake, swamp and marine sediments and their application to understanding present landscapes and prediction of future environmental change.
