Dr Philip Anderson

I did my undergraduate degree at the University of Melbourne and did post-graduate studies at the Universit de Provence (Aix-Marseille I). I spent some years as Lecteur d’anglais at the Universit d’Aix-Marseille III and also taught English at the Institut d’tudes politiques d’Aix-en-Provence. Before coming to Monash University, I taught at La Trobe University.

My research interests lie in 20th Century poetry and fiction, with publications and conference papers on Francis Ponge, Louis Brauquier, Annie Ernaux, Jean-Luc Benoziglio and Jean-Patrick Manchette. I co-edited with Anne Freadman and Brian Nelson Telling Performances (University of Delaware Press).
I have done a number of article-length translations in the area of Lacanian psychoanalysis.
