Research interest In 2012, Rebecca completed her PhD, titled ‘East Timor’s Pursuit of Democratic Independence’. This thesis covered topics such as democratisation, self-determination and national identity, and examined both the international and domestic contexts in East Timor’s transition to democratic statehood. Rebecca’s research also examines the nature of sovereignty, justice and political and cultural identities. [...]
Rebecca is an Assistant Lecturer in History-Politics and the Diploma of Tertiary Studies. She completed her PhD at Monash University in Politics (International Relations).
