2016 IIC Prize for Italian Literary Translation

The Instituto Italiano di Cultura Melbourne, AALITRA and Monash University are proud to announce the 2016 IIC Prize for Literary Translation.

The 2016 IIC Prize for Literary Translation is now open for submissions of translations of the short story “II Panello” by Erri De Luca.

This short story is taken from ‘In alto a sinistra‘ by De Luca, available from the publisher Universale Economica Feltrinelli.

The winner will receive a return flight to Rome and one month accommodation at the guesthouse of the “Casa delle Traduzioni” in central Rome plus a $3000 contribution to a translation study project.

Submissions must be received by August 31st 2016 to iicmelbourne@esteri.it. The Prize recipient will be announced during the Settimana della lingua italiana (Week of the Italian Language in the World) in October.
