I am a lecturer in the Centre for Theatre and Performance. I teach and research across an eclectic range of genres and practices. My main theoretical research interest is performance philosophy, particularly phenomenology. My primary practice research is site-specific performance. I lead the musical theatre program, teach site-specific performance modules and contemporary/avant-garde performance. I supervise PhD and MA candidates in all these disciplines as well as sound, music and poetry in performance.
I am the founder of the Urban Water Performance Group, a collaboration of artists and other researchers interested in water sustainability in urban contexts. I am also the Director of the Performance Research Unit and Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Theatre, Performance and Music. I founded the Phenomenology Group of the association Performance Phenomenology.
